4.HIV/AIDS policy of the NGO
INKUNZI ISEMATHOLENI FOUNDATION HIV/AIDS POLICY
Inkunzi Isematholeni Foundationis committed to the development of policies and the implementation of programs that will assist he colleagues and the community on HIV/AIDS, non-discrimination, awareness, prevention and health support.
Non-discrimination.
Consistent with Inkunzi Isematholeni Foundation pre-existing policy on non-discrimination, it is the policy for Inkunzi Isematholeni Foundation to provide a work environment for its employees and community that is free from harassment and/ or discrimination. Fellow workers who engage in acts of harassment or discrimination are subject to a corrective action that may include termination of his/her employment. Accordingly, colleagues situations related to HIV/AIDS are governed by this principles.
• Inkunzi Isematholeni Foundation will not and does not discriminate against colleagues or member of community or applicants who if affected by HIV/AIDS.
• In accordance with applicable laws, Inkunzi Isematholeni Foundation provides reasonable work accommodation when needed for qualified individuals.
Education and awareness
Inkunzi Isematholeni Foundation is concerned about the wellness of its colleagues, their families and community as whole. Inkunzi Isematholeni Foundation provides benefit and programs have an important role in preserving the dignity of families infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS. We serve to help them maintain normal and production lives. Inkunzi Isematholeni Foundation will provide, either directly or through third parties, an integrated education and awareness programs focusing on prevention. Such program include;
• Information on HIV/AIDS testing, referral and counseling’s services; and measure to encourage the use and increased availability of condoms.
